Li-An Lin

Li-An Lin is an accomplished biostatistician with extensive experience in safety statistics and risk management. Currently serving as Associate Director and Head of Safety Statistics at Moderna since October 2021, Li-An Lin previously held significant roles at Merck, contributing as an Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist in biostatistics from January 2016 to September 2021. Earlier experience includes a position as a Biostatistician at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where Li-An Lin developed advanced Bayesian models and taught various biostatistics courses. Internships at Takeda Oncology involved innovative trial design support, while earlier roles at ASE Group and Xizi Otis Elevator Co., Ltd focused on quality engineering and industrial engineering practices. Li-An Lin earned a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston.
