Lara Schweller

Lara Schweller is an experienced educator specializing in community and access programs within the arts sector. Since August 2013, Lara has held various roles at The Museum of Modern Art, including Associate Educator and Coordinator for Community & Access Programs. Lara's commitment to access and inclusion is further demonstrated by co-chairing the Steering Committee for the Museum, Arts and Culture Access Consortium, which focuses on professional development and best practices in cultural facilities. Previous positions include Peer Group Coordinator for Accessibility at the New York City Museum Educators Roundtable and various roles in other institutions such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Lara earned a Ph.D. in Visual Studies from The University of California, Irvine, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from Harvard University.
