Position Overview:
Momar, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with US government regulations. This role will involve supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, market trend analysis, and optimizing purchasing strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process for goods and services to ensure compliance with US government regulations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and government representatives to facilitate negotiations.

  • Analyze market trends and pricing models to optimize purchasing strategies.

  • Create tailored solutions by combining multiple products for the US Department of Defense, in alignment with salesforce needs.

  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall company objectives and project timelines.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills required. Requires communication with internal customers, external customers, and the public.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make decisions without supervision and highly motivated.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on government contracts. Strong understanding of TLS contracts (AbilityOne, FES, SOE), 1348-6 request forms, GCSS Army, and other DLA/GSA purchasing channels.

  • Strong understanding of federal procurement policies and procedures, including TAA compliance, Berry Amendment, and Federal Standard 123.

  • Possess an extensive network of contacts within private industry manufacturers currently selling to the US Government.

  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely lift and/or move 10 lbs. unassisted

  • Frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, and talk or hear.
