Alan Butsch

Alan Butsch has extensive experience in emergency services, currently serving as Assistant Chief and previously as Battalion Chief of Emergency Medical Services at Montgomery County Government since February 1990. In these roles, Alan has managed Quality Assurance, Logistics, and various operational aspects of a significant emergency medical service. Additionally, Alan served as Fire/Rescue Captain and Station Commander at Fire Station 34 in East Germantown. Since 2008, Alan has been a Senior Associate at GBW Associates, LLC, providing consulting and training to rural fire departments to enhance firefighting water supply capabilities. Alan holds a Master of Arts in Homeland Security from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
