Max Waterfall

Max Waterfall is an experienced backend engineer currently with Monzo Bank since January 2022, following a role as a software engineer at American Express from September 2019 to December 2021. Max began as a technology graduate engineer at American Express, contributing to a B2B payment system in a scrum team during the graduate rotation. Educational experience includes serving as a Java teaching assistant at the University of Birmingham, where communication skills were honed by assisting first-year computer science students. Earlier roles include a technology engineer intern at American Express, where an application was developed for automating test account data, as well as various positions in sales, food service, and metal finishing. Max holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, earned between 2016 and June 2019.
