Sanford Holbrook

Sanford Holbrook is the Vice Chair of the Board of Regents. Holbrook is from Mount Olivet and was appointed to the Morehead State University Board of Regents by Governor Matt Bevin in 2018.

Holbrook is the Superintendent of the Robertson County School System. Holbrook previously served as Assistant Superintendent, ATC Principal, Finance & Federal Programs Director, CTE Coordinator, and Career & Technology Teacher. Mr. Holbrook received the Outstanding Community Leadership Award in 2017 from the Buffalo Trace Area Development District & Robertson County.

He is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the (KEDC) Kentucky Educational Development Corporation. Holbrook also currently serves as Secretary of the (KISTA) Kentucky Interlocal School Transportation Association Board of Directors. He is a member of Kentucky Association of School Superintendents (KASS), Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) and Kentucky Education Association (KEA), and served on the Kentucky Soil and Water Commission from 2011-15. Mr. Holbrook holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Morehead State University and resides in Mt. Olivet. His term ends in 2024.
