Troy Glover is guided by the words of Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, former president of Morehouse College in Atlanta. “The tragedy in life does not lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.” Glover lives by this creed, as he believes that in order to be successful in life one must be goal-oriented. Living by this creed has helped catapult Glover to the forefront of his career in educational facility planning. He currently serves as an educational planner for DLR Group.
Glover’s duties take him to project sites, where he assists his clients in the development of educational specifications, facility master plans, and strategic plans. He also conducts facility evaluations and assessments and facilitates community engagement processes. Glover has assisted with projects in numerous geographic regions, including California, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Arkansas. He has co-authored several articles on urban issues in School Planning and Management, one of the leading publications in the field of educational facility development. His articles include: Visioning Improves Educational Facilities for Large School Districts; Urban Facility Planning: Broad-Based Involvement; and Urban School Facilities: An A-Z Primer.
Professionally, Glover is active with the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) at the international, regional, and state levels. At the international level, Glover is a member of the Board of Directors and currently chairs the Membership Committee.
