Gregory Butron is an experienced engineer currently serving as Principal Engineer and Team Lead for the Motional Teleoperations Team since August 2020. Prior to this role, Gregory was an Embedded Team Lead at Aptiv from October 2017 to August 2020, overseeing a team of six embedded engineers focused on applications for autonomous vehicles in Singapore. Gregory also gained experience as a Junior Software Engineer and Safety Driver at nuTonomy from March 2016 to October 2017, where responsibilities included vehicle monitoring and developing the initial log ingestion and processing pipeline for autonomous vehicles. Gregory holds a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering from Oral Roberts University, obtained in May 2015.
