Dave Taylor

Dave Taylor is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in vehicle design and development. Currently serving as the Senior Applications Product Manager for Business Development at Motiv Power Systems since May 2024, Dave supports the Sales and Marketing team in aligning Motiv's product offerings with customer needs, particularly focusing on electric chassis components. Previously, as the Director of Vehicle Engineering at Hyzon Motors from July 2021 to February 2024, Dave led the design and integration of hydrogen fuel cell platforms into OEM vehicles. At Detroit Chassis LLC, from December 2018 to July 2021, Dave held the position of Senior Manager of Engineering, overseeing multiple departments and ensuring successful product launches. Notably, Dave spent over three decades at Ford Motor Company in various roles, culminating as the Commercial & RV Truck Stripped Chassis Product Manager, where responsibilities included supervising design engineers and managing the development of chassis subsystems. Dave holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
