James Keyes

James is a board member of Motorika Limited and Bermuda resident and citizen. He was a partner for Appleby, the offshore law firm, for eleven years until he retired from the firm in 2008. He joined Appleby in 1993 and was team leader of the Funds & Investment Services Team. Prior to Appleby, he was employed in the Corporate Department of Freshfields law firm, and worked in London, New York and Hong Kong offices. Mr. Keyes attended Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar and graduated with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (M.A. with Honours) in 1985. He was admitted as a non-executive director of a number of funds and companies. He is also managing director of Renaissance Capital, the emerging markets investment group. He became a Notary Public in 1988.
