Katherine McQuaid-Bascon

Katherine McQuaid-Bascon currently serves as Senior Director of Health Disciplines at Mount Sinai Hospital within the Sinai Health System, a position held since February 2004. In this role, Katherine oversees the Rehabilitation Department, which includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, as well as the Respiratory Therapy Department, managing Registered Respiratory Therapists and Anesthesia Assistants. Katherine's previous positions include Senior Manager and Manager of Interprofessional Allied Health at Mount Sinai Hospital, and interim manager for the Respiratory Therapy Department. Outside of healthcare, Katherine was a co-owner of Swirls Cupcakes, a boutique bakery operating from September 2005 to March 2020. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Health Sciences in Health Administration, a degree in Collaborative Change Leadership, an Honours Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, all from the University of Toronto.
