Tara Owens currently serves as a Preservation Technician at George Washington's Mount Vernon, a position held since October 2023. With extensive experience in genealogical and architectural research, Tara has worked as a Freelance Research Consultant since November 2015, assisting clients in uncovering family histories and property locations. Additional roles include Group Fitness Instructor at the Y of Central Maryland and Seasonal Park Ranger at Patapsco Valley State Park. Earlier positions include various roles at Hammond-Harwood House Museum, where Tara conducted research and developed educational programming, as well as internships at the Historic Annapolis Foundation, Historic American Buildings Survey, National Building Museum, and a paralegal position at Murthy Law Firm.
