Eva Sáinz Ramos

Eva Sáinz Ramos is an experienced professional in the fields of development, anthropology, and indigenous rights. Currently serving as the Responsable del área geográfica de América Latina at Movimiento por la Paz - MPDL since April 2023, Eva coordinates strategies, planning, and resources for interventions in Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Colombia. With a long-standing role as Coordinadora at Grupo Intercultural Almáciga since January 2001, Eva promotes and defends the rights of indigenous peoples and supports development projects. Previously, Eva worked as a consultant for IWGIA, providing technical notes on indigenous issues across nine Latin American countries. Additionally, Eva's early career included roles as a proofreader and freelance translator for the Inter-American Development Bank. Eva holds a Licenciatura in Geografía e Historia and completed doctoral courses in Antropología Americana at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
