Daniel Dayton

Daniel Dayton is an advanced software engineer at Movista since July 2024, with a diverse background in software development and agriculture. Prior experience includes serving as the director of engineering at Carimus from May 2019 to July 2024, where Daniel also held roles as a software engineering manager, web development team lead, and software engineer. Education includes a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Warren Wilson College and completion of the MERN Full Stack Developer program at UNC Coding Boot Camp. Daniel's earlier career involved agricultural roles, including ownership of Old Milburnie Farm, LLC, an organic farm, and service with the U.S. Peace Corps as an agricultural/tourism volunteer in Mali, where an eco-lodge and website were established. Additional experience includes research in horticultural science and management of biodiesel production.
