Stephen Southern

Stephen Southern is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in analytical services and minerals management across various regions. Currently serving as the General Manager for East Africa, North Africa, and the Middle East at MSALABS since February 2021, Stephen focuses on expanding the company's presence in strategic markets and introducing innovative technologies. Prior to MSALABS, Stephen held multiple senior roles at Intertek from July 2005 to January 2020, including Regional Manager for Africa and West Africa, as well as Country Director and General Manager for Indonesia and PNG, overseeing significant business lines and P&L responsibilities. Stephen's earlier career includes managing production and technical affairs at Enviromanagers, an environmental laboratory and consultancy in Australia. Stephen holds an MBA from Durham University and a BSc in Chemistry from Murdoch University.
