Michaela L.

Michaela L. is a dedicated Transition Specialist at Multnomah Education Service District (MESD), advocating for African-American, Black, and Multi-race students aged 11-25 in their transition from juvenile detention to community schools. With experience as a Growth Opportunities Program Coordinator at POIC + RAHS, Michaela coordinated outreach and developed partnerships to support at-risk youth. Prior roles include serving as a Youth Transition Specialist at Canby High School, where Michaela assisted students with vocational goals, and as a Juvenile Custody Services Specialist at Multnomah County's Department of Community Justice, providing care and guidance to detained youth. Michaela's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon and a high school diploma from Central Catholic High School.
