John Tuck is an accomplished musician with extensive experience in double bass performance and instruction since 1990. Currently serving as a double bassist for the Lake Forest Symphony and Northwest Indiana Symphony, John holds the position of Assistant Principal Bass with both the Northwest Indiana Symphony and Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, John has been with the Des Moines Metro Opera and Music Institute of Chicago since 2001 and 2007, respectively. As a freelance musician, John has performed with a variety of prominent orchestras and at esteemed festivals, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Ravinia Festival Orchestra. John also manages and performs with the Amadeus Productions/Amadeus Consort, overseeing a Baroque and Classical Chamber Series in Chicago. John holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Northwestern University.
