Akeem Charles

Akeem Charles is a personal trainer at Wav-e Studios Nijmegen, specializing in electric muscle stimulation (EMS) for sport-specific training. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at HAN University of Applied Sciences, Akeem is also completing an internship at ArenaFysio in Amsterdam and serves as a physiotherapist for N.E.C. Nijmegen’s youth teams. Akeem has experience as the lead physiotherapist for the Dutch Deaf Futsal team during the Winter Deaflympics 2024 and has worked as a boot camp instructor. Previously, Akeem was a professional football player for Nacional Soccer Club Aruba and Sport Vereniging Voetbal. Additional experience includes guiding secondary school students in their studies and working as a stock clerk. Akeem has also pursued a minor in musculoskeletal complaints related to the lower back and extremities at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
