Mrunmayi Samant

Mrunmayi Samant has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Mrunmayi started their career at Rack InfoTech Pvt Ltd as a Software Developer Intern, where they gained experience in full-stack development using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript. Mrunmayi then interned at Naehas as a Software Engineering Intern, where they received training in Spring MVC, JavaScript, and Hibernate ORM. During their time at Naehas, they integrated the Application Performance Management tool New Relic with the Java codebase to improve performance and identify and solve code bottlenecks.

Mrunmayi then transitioned to a full-time role at Naehas as a Software Engineer. In this position, they worked on various projects, including scaling compliance search, where they reduced the AWS fee for the feature by 500x while still allowing searching over large amounts of data. Mrunmayi also identified and resolved issues with the existing implementation and upgraded to log4j2 and AWS Glue. Additionally, they migrated the database from ElasticSearch to AWS Athena and created a new data model for faster joins and lower AWS fees.

Furthermore, Mrunmayi designed and built a "pause/resume" workflow for verification purposes, reducing erroneous deliveries by 2x. Mrunmayi also worked on modularizing the monolithic codebase, enabling dynamic loading and versioning of modules, which reduced errors and allowed for parallel development.

Throughout their career, Mrunmayi has demonstrated strong technical skills and has contributed to the improvement and optimization of various software systems.

Mrunmayi Samant completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2017.
