Kris Beason

Kris Beason is currently the Head of Construction PNW of Katerra, overseeing all construction in Washington, Oregon and Idaho with an average revenue of $600 million. She has also held executive regional leadership positions with local, national and international general contractor and construction management companies. She has a deep knowledge of commercial real estate industry over the course of 35 years as a construction executive and manager; honed skills in leadership, business and operation management. She is skilled in starting and managing regional offices, departments and multi‐million dollar construction projects in the PNW.

Kris is a frequent speaker and contributor for commercial industry organizations and higher education facilities. She is a past board member of NAIOP WA, NAWIC Puget Sound, CREW Seattle and CREW Network. Committed to advancing diversity in commercial real estate, Kris served as the Seattle President, as a national CREW Network Board Member and Chair of the CREW Network Foundation. The CREW Foundation dedicates its resources solely toward advancing women in the commercial real estate industry though scholarships, career outreach, and industry research. She also served as the Board director liaison for NAIOP WA’s MarCom committee, Program’s committee, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee in its first year.

She was recognized by CREW Network with the 2016 Career Advancement for Women Impact Award for founding the CREW Seattle & Sound Leadership Development program. CREW Seattle instituted an annual scholarship in her name in 2016 that continues today. She was recognized in 2014 with the NAIOP Washington Mentoring Women Award. In 2019, she was the recipient of the Inspirator Award at the PNW Elevate event which acknowledges the exceptional efforts of a person in the real estate industry who supports, inspires, coaches and mentors’ people in their profession.

Kris is a Board Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, the nation’s largest volunteer supported mentoring network developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Her experience includes construction of the first Living Building Challenge 2.0 project in the World, as multiple LEED Platinum, gold and Silver projects.
