Hein de Groot

Hein de Groot is an experienced petroleum engineering professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Petroleum Engineering Chapter Lead at NAM BV Assen since August 2015, Hein previously held several key roles at Shell Egypt NV from February 2004 to July 2015, including Chief Reservoir Engineer and Development Lead for Baram Delta, Maharaja Lela. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Shell Iran Offshore Ltd from February 2000 to January 2004. Hein holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, earned between 1984 and 1991, and completed secondary education at Montessori Lyceum Herman Jordan Zeist from 1978 to 1984.
