Alexandra McKay

Research Associate at National Academy of Sciences

Alexandra McKay is a research associate at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, a position held since March 2021, following experience as a senior program assistant at the same organization. Previous roles include photo project archival specialist at McKay Photo Organization and Digitization, research assistant at the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, and administrative assistant at the Yale Center For British Art. Additional experience encompasses an interpretive internship with the National Park Service, along with internships at Alexandria Archaeology and Mariners' Museum Library. Alexandra has also contributed as a volunteer at the Virginia Living Museum and served as a summer hire at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Archaeological Studies from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Christopher Newport University.
