Amber McLaughlin

Amber McLaughlin is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since December 2022, Amber previously held the position of Chief Communications Officer at The Kennedy Forum from 2017 to 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Marketing, Communications, & Partnerships at the American Counseling Association, Senior Strategist at PCI Communications, Senior Writer/Designer at Apple Federal Credit Union, Communications Manager/Designer at VALUEOPTIONS INC, Writer at Verizon Multimedia, and Executive Assistant at the American Advertising Federation. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Marshall University, earned in 1999.
