Sara Frueh

Sara Frueh is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in writing and editing, currently serving as a Senior Writer & Media Officer at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since July 2001. In this role, Sara crafts feature stories, profiles, and news releases aimed at conveying the organization's work to diverse audiences, while also editing the journal Issues in Science and Technology. Previous positions include Writer & Editor, where report briefs and summary booklets were created for policymakers, and Media Relations Officer. Earlier career experiences include content development and editing at Mighty Media and editorial work at the Park Nicollet International Diabetes Center. Sara holds a B.A. in English from Macalester College and an M.A. in Liberal Studies/Humanities from Georgetown University.
