David van Wyk

David Van Wyk is an experienced HEMS pilot and base manager, currently employed at National Airways Corporation since November 2019, and previously held similar roles at HALO AVIATION LTD from August 2016 to September 2019. David's aviation career began with freelance commercial helicopter piloting in 2015, and David also piloted helicopters for SkyBanners SA and Victoria Falls Helicopter during that year. Prior experience includes serving as chief flight instructor at Powered Flight from March 2011 to June 2015, where responsibilities included management, operations, and instructing. David owned and operated Foto First Malelane/Paper Worx from 1998 to 2010, alongside a managerial role at Timeless Technologies in 2009. The technical teaching career began in 1992, with positions at Hoërskool Ellisras and Hoërskool Rob Ferreira. David's educational background includes a CPL (H) degree from Powered Flight Helicopter Training School and a Higher Education Diploma in Technical subjects from NKP Teacher College Pretoria.
