Luke Martin

Luke Martin is an experienced Research Engineer at the National Composites Centre since October 2016, specializing in Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM). With a progression from Graduate Research Engineer to Associate Research Engineer and finally to Research Engineer, Luke has expertise in NC programming for automated manufacturing processes, including Automated Fibre Placement and Filament Winding. Additional responsibilities included serving as AFP Zone Owner from June 2020 to February 2023. Prior experience includes customer service roles at Levy Restaurants and Compass Group, where Luke demonstrated strong teamwork and leadership skills, and an Operations Assistant position at Waitrose, focusing on stock management and customer assistance. Luke holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
