Victoria Sams is an experienced professional in the field of humanities, currently serving as a Program Officer at the National Endowment for the Humanities since September 2012. In this role, Victoria oversees grant programs focused on course development and various initiatives for educators, including workshops on American history and culture. Prior to this position, Victoria worked as a freelance writer and editor, as well as a researcher at Sidwell Friends School’s Advancement Office. Additionally, Victoria served as an Assistant Professor of Modern Dramatic Literature at Dickinson College from 2003 to 2011. Victoria's academic credentials include an MA/PhD in Comparative Literature from UCLA and a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
