Valerie Mercier

Valerie Mercier is a multidisciplinary artist and educator with extensive experience in collage-based illustration, utilizing photographic images in their freelance work since May 2013. Valerie has served as an Animator/Interpreter at the National Gallery of Canada since April 2014, conducting educational activities and programs for diverse audiences. Additionally, Valerie has held the positions of Social Media Officer and Acting Interpreter Team Lead, enhancing the gallery's online presence and overseeing public programming logistics. Valerie also contributed to education at Collège La Cité as a part-time Graphic Design teacher and worked with elementary school groups at Centre d'exposition Art-image. Valerie's educational credentials include a Certificate in Horticulture and Green Space Management from Université Laval and various degrees in Visual and Performing Arts, Graphic Design, and Film/Video and Photographic Arts from recognized institutions.
