Melissa Santoyo is an experienced editorial professional currently serving as an Editorial Assistant at National Geographic since December 2023. Prior experiences include freelance writing for POPSUGAR, where Melissa developed and pitched story ideas focused on the Latinx community, and held various editorial roles at El Diario Perfil, Prague Morning, Washingtonian Magazine, STITCH Magazine, North by Northwestern, Inc. Magazine, and The Daily Northwestern. Melissa's skill set encompasses content creation, SEO optimization, and design, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in Art Theory and Practice from Northwestern University.
