Joeran Beel

Joeran Beel is a Professor of Intelligent Systems at Universität Siegen since October 2020 and a co-founder of Darwin & Goliath since May 2020. Beel has held various academic roles, including Assistant Professor and Visiting Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, and Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Informatics. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Informatics, Product Manager at HolidayInsider AG, and External Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Konstanz. As Founder and CEO of Docear, an academic literature suite, Beel has contributed significantly to enhancing research tools. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and multiple degrees from prestigious institutions such as UC Berkeley and Lancaster University.
