Melissa Teague is a skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer currently working with the National Nuclear Security Administration since July 2024. Prior to this role, Melissa served as a Principal System Engineer and Materials Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories from August 2020 to July 2024, and held positions as a Nuclear Fuel Engineer at Kairos Power and Idaho National Laboratory, where significant contributions included leading research teams and developing advanced post-irradiation examination techniques. Earlier experience includes work as a Materials Engineer at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, a Summer Researcher at Idaho National Laboratory, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at UMR Ceramic Engineering Department. Melissa holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Ceramic Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Missouri-Rolla, respectively.
