Yuri Simachev

Yuri Simachev is an accomplished professional in the field of economic policy, currently serving as the Director for Economic Policy at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics since December 2016. Previously, Yuri held the position of Chief Researcher at the Higher School of Economics for a brief period in December 2016, and before that, served as Deputy Director at the Russian Science Foundation from November 2014 to November 2016. Yuri's extensive experience also includes serving as Deputy Director and Head of Department at the Interdepartmental Analytical Center from April 1992 to November 2014, and as Head of Department at the Institute for Complex Strategic Studies from November 2001 to February 2004. Yuri completed education at Lomonosov Moscow State University from 1978 to 1984, and further studies at the State University — Higher School of Economics in 1996-1997.
