Heather Smith

Heather Smith has over two decades of experience in accessibility and equality within the cultural sector, currently serving as the Senior ORBP Access and Equality at National Trust since October 2003. In this role, Heather leads initiatives to enhance site accessibility, contributing to strategic organizational development. Heather also co-chairs the WorkAbility staff network for disabled individuals and provides equality expertise as an Operational Risk Business Partner. Previous positions include roles such as Head of Access for All and Access for All Adviser at Tatton Park, and Visitor Services Assistant at Crawford Arts Centre. Heather's academic background includes a PhD in Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of St Andrews, alongside various relevant degrees from prestigious institutions.
