Alicia Garcia-Herrero

Alicia Garcia-Herrero is an accomplished economist currently serving as Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at NATIXIS and a Senior Research Fellow at Bruegel. With a strong focus on emerging markets, Alicia holds research fellow positions at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the National University of Singapore's East Asian Institute, and is an Adjunct Professor at National Sun Yat-Sen University. Additional roles include membership in the advisory board for the Global Economics and Banking program at Lingnan University, an independent board member at Ageas Group, and a council member at the Focused Ultrasound Foundation. Alicia is also part of the Scientific Council at the Elcano Royal Institute and the board of the Hong Kong Forum. Alicia earned a Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University and has completed multiple degrees, including a Masters in International Economics and a Laurea in Economia Politica, along with ongoing studies in Global Leadership at Harvard University.
