Kirt Walker

Kirt Walker is the current Chair of Nationwide Children's Hospital, Inc. and the Nationwide Children's Hospital at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Kirt has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on retirement planning, financial services, strategic planning, and financial analysis.

Walker began their career at Nationwide in October 2009 as President & Chief Operating Officer of Financial Services. In this role, they oversaw a team of professionals dedicated to helping America’s families, workers and businesses reach financial security. Kirt was responsible for ensuring the Nationwide brand continued to grow and that our members take advantage of our services. Kirt worked closely with key financial planning teams to devise effective solutions to clients’ financial questions and concerns.

In March 2006, Walker was promoted to President & Chief Operating Officer of Property & Casualty at Nationwide Insurance. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management and profitability of Nationwide’s property and casualty operations. Kirt successfully grew the business while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.

In September 2003, Walker was promoted to President of Allied Insurance, a Nationwide Company. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, including underwriting, claims, product development, agent/broker relations, and marketing.

Kirt Walker began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Iowa State University. Kirt then went on to earn a Master of Science in Management from The American College of Financial Services.
