Jon Wellinghoff is a seasoned energy policy expert, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal CEO of GridPolicy, Inc. since April 2017, where efforts focus on integrating policy with distributed energy technologies. In addition, Wellinghoff holds the position of Chief Regulatory Officer at Voltus, Inc., overseeing regulatory strategy across various levels. Prior experiences include key roles at SolarCity as Chief Policy Officer, Stoel Rives LLP as Partner, and significant leadership at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, first as Commissioner and later as Chairman, where groundbreaking initiatives such as Order 1000 were championed. Earlier in the career, Wellinghoff established the Sustainable Energy and Clean Tech Division at Beckley Singleton, Chtd., and served in various capacities within the energy sector, including General Counsel at the Nevada Public Utilities Commission. Wellinghoff earned a JD from Antioch School of Law and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Howard University.
