Lukas Trakimavičius

Policy Officer at NATO

Lukas Trakimavičius holds a diverse portfolio of experience in policy analysis and energy security, currently serving as a Policy Officer at NATO since September 2024. Prior to this role, Lukas was an Associate Analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies and engaged as a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis from April to September 2024. Additionally, Lukas contributed as a Future Energy Leader at the World Energy Council and served as a Subject Matter Expert at The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. Previous roles include Second Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Consultant at NATO’s Arms Control, Disarmament, and WMD Non-Proliferation Centre, and research positions at Harvard University Press and Yale University Press. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Exeter and further studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science, where Lukas also held the position of President of the Baltic Society.
