Elena Olmedo currently serves as a Climate Advisor at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since April 2019, focusing on climate-related initiatives. Previously, as Sustainability Coordinator for the City of San Carlos from August 2016 to August 2017, Elena implemented the City’s Climate Action Plan and strategies for greenhouse gas reduction across various sectors. Prior experience includes working as a LEED Certification Reviewer from March 2014 to June 2016, conducting technical assessments of LEED projects, and serving as a Sustainability Specialist at Quantum Energy Services and Technologies, Inc. from March 2012 to June 2014, where Elena developed greenhouse gas inventories and sustainability measures. Elena holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School (2016-2018) and a BA in Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz (2003-2008).
