David French

David French is a Project Scientist at Natural Systems Design since June 2020, specializing in the exploration of terrestrial-aquatic linkages through a geospatial lens, focusing on aquatic resource science, planning, and restoration. Prior to this role, David served as a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Washington's School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from September 2016 to June 2020, where research centered on geospatial modeling of watershed nutrient cycling in Alaska's boreal, salmon-bearing rivers. David's experience also includes positions as a Staff Scientist/GIS Analyst and Research Technician at Natural Systems Design and the Marine Organic Geochemistry Lab, respectively. David holds a Master of Science in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Resource Management, both from the University of Washington, along with prior educational experiences in leadership and environmental studies.
