Darren Kane

Darren Kane is a seasoned security executive with extensive experience in overseeing security operations and strategic partnerships. Currently serving as the Chief Security Officer at nbn™ Australia since March 2015, Darren is responsible for protecting facilities, personnel, and information systems, as well as addressing security breaches. Prior to this role, Darren spent nearly 11 years at Telstra, holding various senior positions including Senior Executive of Trusted Partnerships, Officer of Internet Trust & Safety, and Director of Corporate Security & Investigations, where Darren focused on cyber-safety, strategic security advice, and investigations. Earlier in Darren's career, experience at ASIC as Assistant Director of National Enforcement and at the Australian Federal Police as Detective Sergeant provided a solid foundation in law enforcement and security. Educational credentials include a Masters of Business Administration from Victoria University and a Diploma in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia. Darren is also engaged in ongoing education through the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
