Catalin Visinescu

Catalin Visinescu is a seasoned professional in the field of security consulting and software development, currently serving as a Principal Security Consultant at NCC Group since October 2018, having previously held the position of Senior Security Consultant. Before joining NCC Group, Catalin worked at BlackBerry from January 2010 to October 2018 as a Senior Systems Software Developer, focusing on firmware security, leading initiatives involving BlackBerry OS, QNX/BB10, and various security technologies such as Trustzone and Secure Boot. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Developer at Alcatel/Thales Rail Signalling Solutions, contributing to security devices and train control software from March 2004 to January 2010. Catalin holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania.
