Dr. Esam Alwagait د عصام الوقيت

Dr. Esam Alwagait د عصام الوقيت is an accomplished professional in the field of Computer Science with extensive experience in various leadership and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Director of the National Information Center in Saudi Arabia since October 2019, Dr. Alwagait holds multiple board positions, including membership at the Saudi Business Center, NCGR, General Authority For Statistics, Elm Company, and SCAI. Previous roles include CEO of the National Digitization Unit and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Alwagait also served as Dean and Assistant Professor at King Saud University, where responsibilities included managing IT-related initiatives within the institution. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de València and the University of Southern California, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree from King Saud University.
