Pipeline Integrity Engineer at NDT Global

Katherine Hartl, PhD, currently serves as a Pipeline Integrity Engineer at NDT Global since April 2021, following a role as a Research Engineer at ExxonMobil from November 2017 to November 2020, where innovative workflows were developed despite a lack of petroleum engineering background. At Princeton University, from September 2011 to November 2016, Katherine completed a PhD with a thesis on fire whirls, contributing significant experimental data and publishing results in three papers. Katherine has held leadership positions such as President of Graduate Women in Science and Engineering and Head Graduate Coordinator at The McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, while also engaging young students in engineering through a program at Stuart Country Day School. Earlier experiences include research assistance at esteemed laboratories, internships at NASA's JPL, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
