Katrina Byrne

Katrina Byrne is an experienced communications strategist and project manager with a strong background in political campaign communications. Currently serving as an Organizational Specialist and Senior Communications Strategist at NEA since January 2014, Katrina develops comprehensive project scopes for large-scale national campaigns. Previous roles include Campaign Writer/Researcher and Communications Specialist at AFL-CIO, where responsibilities included creating campaign message strategies and analyzing data for multiple state and federal races. Early career experience included positions at United American Nurses and United Auto Workers, focusing on organizing and governance. Katrina holds a Master's degree in PR and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, a Master of Arts in American Literature from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Mills College.
