Matthew Ahern

Matthew Ahern, MBA, MHA, currently serves as the Deputy Director of Nebraska Medicaid at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services since October 2021. Prior to this role, Matthew held the position of Assistant Director of the Bureau of Managed Healthcare at the Utah Department of Health from January 2016 to October 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Practice Director for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Intermountain Healthcare and Practice Administrator at Main Line Health. Matthew has also managed various practices at Lancaster General Health and worked as an Administrative Fellow at Nemours Children's Clinic. Early career experiences include serving as a Psychiatric Technician at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute. Educational credentials include an MBA and MHA from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Utah State University.
