Job description

The NEEDS Center is looking for a Part-Time Grant Writer!

In this role, you will lead the research, writing, and submission of grant proposals and assists the Fundraising Committee on planning & implementation of fundraising events in accordance with the NEEDS Center’s policies and procedures.

This is a HYBRID position with minimal time in office. The role pays $30-$35/hr, based on experience.

20-30 hrs per week.

                

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
  2. Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies
  3. Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
  4. Submit proposals to fundraising committee for approval.
  5. Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  6. Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
  7. Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  8. In collaboration with the Fundraising Committee, work on the planning and implementation of fundraising events.
  9. Performs other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned by supervisors or management.
  10. Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of NEEDS Center, conducting themselves within the published standards of professional conduct

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in creative writing or related field.

  2. 2+ years grant writing experience preferred.

  3. Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals.

  4. Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.

  5. Proficient knowledge of fundraising information sources.

  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  7. Excellent organizational skills.

The NEEDS Center is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). There is a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals with interfering challenging behavior and/or dual diagnosis.
