Marc Thelen

Marc Thelen is a highly experienced professional in laboratory medicine, currently serving as the Scientific Director at SKML since July 2013, where the focus is on ensuring consistent results across laboratories. Additionally, Marc holds a professorship at Radboud University since March 2019, specializing in quality in medical laboratory care, addressing performance specifications and acceptable uncertainties in laboratory testing. Marc's extensive involvement in standardization includes roles as a member and chairman of various committees at NEN, ISO, and the European Federation for Laboratory Medicine. Marc's previous positions include clinical chemist and medical manager at Amphia Ziekenhuis and head of the laboratory at IJsselland Ziekenhuis. Academically, Marc holds a PhD in Medicine and degrees in Clinical Chemistry and Medical Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
