Vassilios D. Tourassis

Vassilios D. Tourassis currently serves as Vice President for Global Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at NEOM, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this, Vassilios D. Tourassis was associated with Nazarbayev University from September 2012 to October 2023, where roles included Vice Provost for Industry Engagement, Founding Dean of the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, and Dean of the School of Science and Technology. Experience at Democritus University of Thrace from 2001 to 2012 included roles as Vice Rector and participation in the University Research Committee. Additionally, Vassilios D. Tourassis acted as Dean of the School of Applied Technology at Eastern Macedonia & Thrace Institute of Technology and held various academic positions at the University of Rochester from 1985 to 1998. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS/MS from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
