Elspeth Kirkman

Elspeth Kirkman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program management and behavioral insights. As the Chief Programmes Officer at Nesta since May 2022, Elspeth leads various initiatives. Prior to this role, Elspeth served at The Behavioural Insights Team for nearly a decade, where notable positions included Director for Health, Early Years, Education, Skills, and Local Government, Managing Director of BIT North America, and Director of the Behavioural Research Centre for Adult Skills and Knowledge (ASK). Elspeth was instrumental in establishing the North American branch of BIT and directing innovative research initiatives. Earlier career experience includes working as a Management Consultant at Accenture. Elspeth holds a Master’s degree in International Design & Communication Management and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, both from the University of Warwick.
