Barret Helms

Barret Helms is a Director of Domestic Programs at The Pad Project since May 2023 and a Television Writer at Netflix since January 2022. Previously served as Showrunner Assistant to Melissa Rosenberg at Tall Girls Productions and worked as Inclusion & Equity Coordinator for the Writers Guild of America West. Barret's experience includes spearheading projects for The Pad Project as an Outreach Coordinator, coordinating industry relations at the University of Southern California, and gaining early experience as a Development Intern at Footprint Features. Barret's background also includes roles as a professional actor and model, with notable performances on various television series and in national commercials. Barret holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California and has received vocational acting training.
